Shaughnessy confirms move to Loxam

As we reported in early Octoberlink[/en/stories.php?id=4707]( click for original story) Steve Shaughnessy has been appointed as managing director of Loxam UK.

Shaughnessy, previously managing director of A-Plant Specialist Products, joined the Ashtead group in October 2004 when he moved to the UK from Boston, where he was CEO of NES following its acquisition of his family owned cranes and access rental company.

He says that he was not looking to leave Ashtead, but when he was approached over the Loxam position, it offered the chance to get back to his first love, access equipment, while offering new and different challenges.

The managing directors position at Loxam, which was PTP, prior to its acquisition by Loxam, has been vacant since Andrew Davie left over six months ago.
