Crane tips in Fort Worth

The overturned crane

The operator was airlifted to a hospital on Wednesday after rescuers freed him from the fallen crane inside an industrial warehouse belonging to Sabre Tubular Structures in southwest Fort Worth.

Firefighters freed Easton after nearly two and a half hours, and he was transported via CareFlite to Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth.

Local reports say that the large Grove RT had stated to lift or place a load on a large low loader, it had its outriggers down but the beams were not extended. A side or off of centre load pulled the machine over onto its side.
