Crane fire in Reykjavik
A mobile crane caught fire yesterday when its engine exploded at a construction site in Borgartún in central Reykjavík. The driver managed to escape from the cab just in time as the crane was engulfed in flames in a matter of seconds.

The crane fire was caused by the engine exploding
A police car, an ambulance and a fire truck rushed to the scene. Firefighters were quick to extinguish the fire despite heavy snowfall and poor visibility.

No one was injured.
