Tadano third quarter results

Japanese crane maker, Tadano has reported third quarter revenues to the end of December up by 22 percent to 122,827 million yen (£593 million).

Domestic revenues increased 11 percent compared with the same period in 2006 to 65,231 million yen (£315 million) primarily due to the strong demand for replacement cranes which more than offset the decline in sales of truck loader cranes.

Overseas sales rose by more than 37 percent over the same period to 57,595 million yen (£278 million) thanks to a demand for cranes in Europe and North America.

Operating income jumped 40 percent to 12,241 million yen (£59 million) with net income up 42 percent at 8,252 million yen (£40 million). The company still predicts total revenues of 168,000 million yen (£811 million) for the full year to March 2008.
