No guesses for why this crane tipped

The man, who was in training on how to use the crane which is owned by Jim Maddix, jumped out of the cab when he saw it was about to fall. The cab caught him as he jumped crushing his lower legs.

The man was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.

Vertikal Comment

No prizes for why this accident happened. It seems so basic that outriggers need be set up on both sides of the crane or at least jacks down on both sides and yet barely a week goes by that we do not hear of tip-overs due to incorrect or poor outrigger set up.
