Vp acquires again

Vp the UK general rental company, previously known as Vibroplant, and owner of UK Forks, one of the UK’s leading telehandler rental companies, has acquired Arcotherm of Stoke and Oxford and DJ Tool Hire in North East England.

The acquisitiion of Arcotherm was made through Vp’s tool hire subsidiary Hire Station, is a cash purchase of all Arcotherm’s shares for £650,000. Arcotherm, which was established 15 years ago, sells and rents heaters, air conditioners and dehumidifiers from branches in Stoke on Trent and Oxford.

The company will be integrated into Climate Hire, Hire Station’s specialist cooling, heating, drying and environmental products activity.

Vp has issued very few details on the purchase of DJ, also made through Hire Station. The company has acquired the business and assets from DJ's administrator. The company at one time operated from locations in Stanley, Gateshead and Durham.

Jeremy Pilkington, chairman of Vp said:” The acquisition of Arcotherm represents a further important step in the establishment of Hire Station’s climate products business, Climate Hire, and brings with it a wealth of valuable expertise with the transferring management team.”
