Spider movers

Portacover Machinery, a Swansea, South Wales, based machinery moving company, has purchased a Unic 295 spider crane to join its mobile crane fleet which includes Jones-Iron Fairy pick and carry units.

The company which also has a location in Bridgend, was established in 1986 and employs 10, it was originally involved with heavy engineering work, but has since diversified into the construction sector and carries out a lot of its work within large automotive plants.

The company stresses a personal approach to the business with one of the three company directors being available at all times. Managing director Stuart Watson even goes so far as to publish his mobile phone number on the company’s web site.

He says that the company carried out a thorough research of the products available before deciding on the Unic 295. The deal was sealed at this years SED.
