Cramo buys spider crane business

Cramo Norway has acquired the rental operations of Kranentreprenören a spider crane rental company in Lørenskog near Oslo. The company has one or two small mobile cranes, but the majority of its fleet is made up if 17 Unic spider cranes.

The company has acted as the Unic dealer for Norway. Finn Lökken, managing director of Cramo Norway said: "This makes us an even more complete rental solution provider to the construction industry."

"With our new depot, we're in a position to offer not only rental, but cranes with operators. This is really appreciated by customers who do not have the expertise to operate the cranes themselves.”

“Mini cranes are also more flexible and less costly to operate than big stationary cranes. They can be used indoors as well as outdoors and can run on propane, diesel or electricity. So in addition to the lower cost, there are environmental advantages as well," adds Lökken.

All employees involved in Kranentreprenören's rental operations have been offered similar positions at Cramo.
