Brogan Group wins specialist contractor trophy

Mastclimber and scaffolding specialist contractor the Brogan Group has won the Specialist Contractor trophy in the Access and Scaffolding category at the 2008 Construction News Specialist Awards ceremony supported by the National Specialist Contractors Council (NSCC) and The Specialist Engineer’s Group (SEC).

James Brogan, managing director of Brogan Group, was at the ceremony to receive the award along with other directors and senior marketing, design and commercial staff. The Brogan team was joined by twenty senior clients who helped them to celebrate the win.

The company was described at the ceremony as “a member of several trade organisations in the UK and Ireland including NASC, IPAF and CHAS, which sets health and safety and training standards within the industry.”

Over the last year the company has worked on a number of demanding projects, including the £156 million Project Hal – the largest scaffolding project in the UK – for Carillion and ‘The Cocoon’ Darwin Centre for HBG.

“We are very proud to win this award” said Brogan. “As a specialist access and scaffolding contractor, this award recognises our achievements in the specialist access area. It is a wonderful endorsement of our re-imagining of traditional practices and technology in order to provide a comprehensive, tailored access package for all our clients’ requirements within the industry.”
