HWS celebrates

HWS Verhuur, the Dutch aerial lift rental company, celebrated the official opening of its new headquarters in Noordwijk on Saturday with an open day and themed beach party for customers and employees.

The approach to the HWS premises in Nordwijk

The open day, was attended by over 500 invited customers and employees accompanied by around 100 children. On arrival they were met by hostesses who provided tours through the various offices, boardroom, canteen and training facility.

In the training facility the Ronald Mc. Donald fund gave a presentation. HWS Verhuur BV has been long term sponsor of the charity and a sum of €7,000 was raised during the day. The Ronald Mc Donald fund supplies a “home far from home” to parents, brothers and sisters of severely sick children who need special medical treatment in the hospitals near the HWS premises.

The tours ended in the workshops which were transformed into a large party hall with a Caribbean beach setting, with a layer of beach sand on the floor, beach beds and chairs, a tropical cocktail bar, a large stage for the live performances, an old Ruthmann Volkswagen T2 van from which the DJ performed, palm trees and huge fruit baskets.

One inside the beach theme came into its own

Outside and in the machine storage buildings were a number of attractions. Including basic telehandler and aerial lift operator training. A laser shooting game, bouncy castle, a balloon clown, facial paint etc.

Music included a Caribbean Salsa band, the Dutch Abba band, a Party Rock band and even a Rock and Roll band who performed from their American Cadillac Fleetwood convertible.

Around 400 guests attended the evening event

The evening event attracted 400 guests. HWS operates a fleet of around 750 aerial work platforms, making it one of Holland’s largest fleets.
