Beavis, 40, joins Boss from Watling JCB where he was group service manager and succeeds Tony Thomas who founded the business in 2002 and is now retiring. The business now has five locations across the South East, with a further depot due to open later this year.
Before taking on the service managers role at Watling, Beavis was compact equipment manager managing a team of sales representatives selling JCB’s small equipment ranges. Prior to that he worked with Taylor Construction Plant.
Beavis said: “I am extremely impressed by the set-up here at Boss Services and I am fortunate to be following Tony, the former MD, into the role. His passion for quality has been the driving force behind the growth of the company and I am looking to carry that ethos on through all areas of the business; the products, the service and the people”.
“I am optimistic that we can continue to expand, but we will progress cautiously due to the current economic climate. Our priorities will be to ensure that we continue our policy of buying only market leading brands – research with our customers highlights this as an important consideration – and to be the best at what we do by keeping our customers satisfied by our excellent service”.
Boss currently runs a fleet of Manitou telescopic handlers.
