Alimak Hek sells Raise Climber business

Mastclimber and hoist manufacturer, Alimak Hek has sold its underground mining Raise climber business to Arkbro Industries of Toronto, Canada as part of its strategic focus on construction and industrial access markets. The raise business formed part of the group’s Alimak AB subsidiary, and does not involve the transfer of any rights for the Alimak brand or any employees and is not expected to lead to any significant changes at the Raise manufacturing plant in Skellefteå.

Introduced in 1957, the Alimak Raise Climber and the Alimak Method of Raising signified an enormous improvement of working conditions, safety, speed and accuracy in raise driving and is still the most efficient solution.

Arkbro Industries will assume all support, service and spare parts activity for the Alimak Raise Climber equipment in the market and will do so trading as Arkbro.
