Effer cranes in Rovereto

The Effer production line for its model 20 and 35 cranes has been transferred to Rovereto, the home town of CTE, in order to handle a major order from the Italian State Railways.

Total production of the two models will be in the region of 500 units a year. The company’s objective is to build this to a thousand units per year. Once in full production, the company will add twenty additional people.

The Effer model 35

The new line in Rovereto is aimed to add to Effer’s capacity with production continuing to expand at its main Castel Maggiore factory, where the model has been produced until now. The aim is to accommodate the large order without extending lead times for other buyers.

The Model 35 crane is designed for installation on 3.5 tonne trucks that qualify for a Class B driving licence (Nissan, Mercedes and Iveco) either as flatbed or dump trucks with a residual payload of up to 1,000kg.
