Gong for Hathaway

Derek C. Hathaway, recently retired chairman and chief executive officer of Harsco, the owner of SGB, Hünnebeck and Patent scaffolding, has been awarded an OBE (Order of British Empire) in recognition of his “Services to Industry and Charity” in his native United Kingdom and overseas.

The announcement was published in the Queen’s birthday honors list, the date of her official birthday, when she traditionally honors citizens for their contribution to the life of the nation.

Hathaway will attend an investiture ceremony at Buckingham Palace, London later in the year.

Current Harsco chairman and chief executive officer, Salvatore D. Fazzolari said, "The board, management, and all of Harsco’s employees are pleased and proud to hear of this personal accomplishment and offer to Mr. Hathaway their congratulations and warmest best wishes."
