Access Link looks at expansion

Members of the UK/Ireland's Access Link met at Vertikal Days last week and agreed on the need to appoint more new members and to increase the number of outlets in the less well covered areas of the country. Current applications for membership would take the combined Link fleet to around 5,500 units, while a number of other companies expressed an interest in joining at Vertikal Days.

The meeting discussed the situation where there is already an existing member and the concept of adding associate members in such an area was put forward for consideration. In other areas where the territory is too large for an incumbent member to service parts of it economically, then it was agreed additional members would be required within the ‘patch’.

The Access Link is an association of independently owned local or regional aerial lift rental companies with a similar outlook in terms of quality, fleet and policies that work together to provide national coverage for larger accounts.

Following the meeting the members issued a statement saying: "Vertikal Days was an ideal venue for the meeting as most of members had planned to be there anyway. This could be a regular feature of the event each year."
