First JLG telehandler to IOM

JLG has supplied the first of its new Powershift telehandlers, a 13 metre, 4,000kg capacity Model 4013 PS, to the Isle of Man.

The new machine was shipped to recently appointed JLG telehandler dealer, Agriculture & Plant Services of Spring Valley, Douglas, Isle of Man.

The new unit was sold within days of it arriving and shortly after its very first demonstration, to customer Gareth Kelly, of G Kelly Services of Marown, also in Douglas.

G Kelly provides general equipment and rental services to the local agricultural and building industry, and this is the first telehandler that the company has purchased. In order to mark the arrival of the first JLG telehandler on the island, it has been equipped with a special vehicle number registration plate ‘4013 MAN’

Nick Warburton of Agriculture & Plant Services said, “There are already quite a few telehandlers on the island and there is a growing demand for them, particularly in building and construction, with the high level of redevelopment and new housing projects which are taking place.

“The JLG telehandler products ideally complement our other agricultural franchises like the Same-Deutz-Fahr tractors, because in a small island community like this, where our customers are very dependent on us for back-up support and our own reputation depends on it, we have to provide quality equipment and a comprehensive service.”
