Burdens buys 200th Palfinger

Burdens, the Bristol, UK based civil engineering and building materials supplier has taken delivery of its 200th Palfinger crane in a special ceremony at Palfinger’s Lengau plant in Austria.

The 200th unit, a PK 15500 Performance was presented to Burden’s operations manager Pete Duckett and transport / purchasing manager Paul Cassell by Palfinger’s chief marketing officer Wolfgang Pilz, with Mark Rigby and Malcom Worsdell of Palfinger dealer -TH White assisting.

Burdens, established in 1929, has 45 branches in the UK, as well as additional offices in Australia and Dubai, it employs 1,000 and runs a fleet of 180 delivery trucks.

The company has been buying Palfinger cranes since 1990 and has standardised on the manufacturer for the past several years. The most important crane models for Burdens are those in the 13 to 18 metre/tonne class. Most of these products are equipped with Integrated Stability Control (ISC) and radio remote controls.
