At the same time Parkway Plant Sales, based in Bredbury, near Stockport will cover the Greater Manchester and Birmingham regions, the company has locations in Four Ashes, Wolverhampton and Ruthin, North Wales.

The company currently distributes Takeuchi, Bomag and Kramer-Allrad and has experience with Merlo telehandlers in the past.

Ian Wood, managing director of Parkway said: “We specialize in the smaller end of the building-construction machine market, and from previous experience, the telehandler is a key machine in our portfolio. In spite of the current down-turn in the housing market, we still see potential in the civil engineering and utilities sectors, and the new compact telehandlers from JLG will also definitely find a place in the industrial sector.”
