Gatwick Group takes nine more Hiabs

The Gatwick Group of the UK has purchased nine more Hiab loader cranes taking its fleet to 16 units – all Hiab. Six trucks have already been delivered with cranes from Hiab’s XS range – capable of lifting loads of up to 18 tonnes, and with boom and jib combinations of up to 22 metres.

Four new Hiabs for Gatwick Plant

Gatwick’s customers include British Airports Authority, Network Rail and a number of blue chip construction companies.

Bob Toon Gatwick’s managing director said: “My policy is to go for the best of everything. That way, we have a team of drivers who take pride in their work and are willing to go the extra mile to deliver. Plus we enjoy the reassurance of excellent reliability. For me, Hiab is the very best by a long way. I see no constraints in what they can do.”

“With our entire crane fleet being Hiab our drivers can all operate any vehicle, due to the similarity between the various models.”
