Outrigger incident in Scotland

An anonymous caller has informed us that a concrete pump tipped over on a job site near Bridge of Allan in Scotland last week. There was one injury in which a man suffered from a fractured collarbone.

We have been unable to find any other confirmation on the incident which, according to our caller, resulted from the absence of outrigger mats combined with soft ground due to recent rains.

This is a typical incident which need not have happened and we do believe that the publicising of such accidents and effectively near miss, will help focus attention on a totally avoidable accident. If you have any further information please contact us.
