Horizon UK addds JLG

Wakefield, UK, based Horizon Platforms only opened its doors for trading earlier this year, and has already built up a fleet of 100 new self-propelled scissor and boom lifts.

The company’s founder Ben Hirst, formally operations director at Uplift Platforms – now AFI Uplift, said: “Our aim is to provide the complete Powered Access package, at a level of customer service that can only be reached by an independently run company. The quality of our product, the professionalism within our team and our rapid responses times are the core values the business will be built upon.”

Following initial purchases from Skyjack and Niftylift, Horizon has placed an additional order worth £500,000 with JLG. The new units will expand the company’s fleet of JLG 1930, 2630, 3246 ES Scissors, and E300AJP, M450AJ and 450AJ Boom Lifts. Horizon will also soon take delivery of the M4069 Bi-Energy Scissor lift.

Hirst adds: “My relationship with JLG dates back over many years and I therefore look forward to working with them once again. I have always found their product to be one of the best in the market, especially the ES Scissor range, this coupled with their exceptional level of after-sales service, fits perfectly into our formula here at Horizon”.
