Lack of a harness takes another

An employee of the city of Kokoma, Indiana was catapulted from his truck mounted aerial lift yesterday after it was struck by a large articulated truck as he worked on a traffic light.

The man who was not wearing a harness and lanyard was transported by ambulance to St. Joseph Hospital and Health Care Center and then airlifted to the Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, his condition is not known, but we understand that he is still alive but suffering from serious head injuries.

The driver of the truck, Annette Patchett, 44, told police that she thought she was far enough over to miss hitting the truck.

Vertikal Comment

The Clunk Click, Click Clack campaign still has a long way to go, with the very real chance of being hit by traffic why do platform users still insist on going up without a harness?
