Wayne MacDonald to retire

Wayne MacDonald, senior vice president of engineering at JLG has announced that he will retire at the end of the month after 33 years with the company.

MacDonald has had a highly influential impact on the company’s products and development over the years.

JLG President Craig Paylor said: “Like many on our team, I have had the pleasure of personally working with Wayne throughout my career and appreciate all he has done for the organisation and his team. Wayne’s commitment to product innovation, continuous improvement. and customer focus has been instrumental in both establishing and strengthening our global leadership position in the access industry.”

“Throughout his career, JLG products have been firmly entrenched as industry leaders with breakthrough product designs, state-of-the-art electronic control systems, a full line of product accessories, and new models or features launched each and every year.”

MacDonald has been involved in the selection and grooming of his successor, while nothing has been confirmed, Timothy Hatch, vice president of value engineering is considered to be the front runner.
