Allan Access fails

We can now confirm that Allan Access the Market Harborough, UK, based distributor of vehicle mounted lifts has been placed into administration this week.

Calls to the Phil Allan the owner and managing director of the company remain unanswered, and it has taken some time to categorically confirm the rumours that have been circulating over the past few days.

Phil Allan has been active in the UK van and truck mounted market almost since its inception, and is likely to remain active in one way or another. The company’s products include Nifty lift vehicle mounts, Socage trucks and spiders, Terex Utilities insulated platforms and the company’s own range of Land-Rover and van mounted boom lifts.

The company had gone through a difficult period due to the shortage of vans and Land-Rover chassis which prevented it shipping machines in the second half of 2007, but as these began coming through it began ramping back up to fulfil orders.

No further information is available at this time.
