Higher Platforms joins with Panther

Higher Platforms acquired by Lavendon in September 2007 has merged with Panther under the new Panther/Lavendon branding.

Higher Platforms adds three well established branches to the Panther network: Thirsk, Basildon and Cannock, along with a fleet of over 450 machines - including one of the largest fleets of propane powered machines in Europe.

The addition of Higher Platforms takes the Panther fleet up to 3600 units available from a network of 13 depots.

Higher Platform’s managing director and former owner Leigh Farmer, becomes managing director of Panther Midlands & North. Speaking about the merger he said: “Since starting Higher Platforms in 1992, the company has supplied a unique range of powered access equipment from its branches. Staff, suppliers and customers will now benefit from Panther’s national experience as we continue to supply a local, reliable powered access service.”

Richard Miller Panther’s managing director added “Higher Platforms, along with Kestrel Powered Access and AMP Access, bring the new Panther structure to completion. Leigh Farmer has been appointed as Panther north & midlands managing director, and will be working with the strong teams based at Panther Thirsk, Haydock, Lincoln, Droitwich and the regional head office, Panther Cannock”
