Hird Opens in Doncaster

Peter Hird has opened a new depot in Doncaster, Mark Trueman, previously with Lifterz has been appointed to manage the new operation, which will start off with a fleet of 150 lifts all of them from Genie..

Peter Hird, Hird’s managing director said: “Mark has a vast amount of experience within the powered access industry and we are very confident he will be a great asset to our team.”

The depot will also offer Mini Crane sales and rental, along with IPAF, CSCS and PASMA Training.

At the same time Hird has announced that Philip Moss who joined Hird three years ago, following a career with a local building firm, St Vincent Plant and Speedy Hire, has been appointed as a director, reporting Allan Hemmimgs Hirds operations director.

Hird added: “We were lucky with Phil to find a person with such passion, dedication & knowledge. He was given the initial job to secure local business and excelled very quickly.”

And Carl Copper moves eastwards

Carl Cooper of Peter Hird has joined associate company CLE in the Middle East, Cooper has been with Hird for a considerable amount of time, but is now taking over the day to day CLE operations in Dubai.

CLE will represent, Jekko ,Ormig and some other manufacturers of lifting equipment. CLE has offices and works on Sheik Zayed Road with a sales and service team in place.
