New CEO for Coates

Australia’s Coates Hire, has appointed Leigh Ainsworth as its new chief executive. Ainsworth was previously chief executive of Thiess Services an environmental and utility contractor.

Former Coates chief executive Malcolm Jackman resigned unexpectedly in June after five years in the role, he was recently appointed as chief executive and managing director of Adelaide based agribusiness Futuris Corporation.

Ray Romano, former chairman of National Hire Group, Coates parent company, stepped in as interim chief executive of Coates following Jackman's resignation. He then resigned from his role as National Hire chairman in June but retained his role at Coates and will hand over to Ainsworth in November.
