Sennebogen opens new facility

The new Sennebogen Plant 2 is now in production employing about 350 employees in production, R&D, engineering and administration departments. Total investment is about €30 million.

Between October 14th to 17th more than 3,500 guests have visited the new facility in the Straubinger Hafen business park.

"In the future we will be able to react even faster and more flexibly to our customers' and partners' wishes and requirements", says Erich Sennebogen. "Optimised processes from goods delivered to the dispatch of machines allow for increased planning reliability and shorter turnaround and delivery times. "

A total area of 125,000 sq metres includes a 15,000 sq metre assembly hall which can be used to built and test machines with a operating weight of up to 300 tonnes.
Future extensions of up to 200,000 sq metres are possible on the site.

Sennebogen decided to locate the facility in Germany/ Bavaria to develop and produce products using experienced and highly qualified personnel.

Plant 1 at Hebbelstraße in Straubing remains the group's main office which houses its central administration. The service center for the worldwide spare parts distribution, and customer support also remain at Hebbelstraße. Steel construction business, especially for large welded constructions, will be extended. Furthermore, extensive building measures and investments have been planned for plant 1. The spare parts depot will be doubled in size in improve spare parts availability.

With the completion of Plant 2 Sennebogen now has four production plants, three of which are in Germany and one in Hungary. The company now has a total of around 1,000 employees and a turnover of about €360 million euros.
