Crane tips

A Rough Terrain crane working on a road improvement project in Norwich,Connecticut tipped over trapping the operator in his cab and closing the road.

Emergency services from Montville and Norwich, along with police, worked to free the man from the crane, after which he was transported to hospital, his condition was said not to be serious.

The reasons for the tip over are not known at this stage, however the outriggers were down but the beams were hardly extended at all.
