Maclennan joins Genie

Ronan Mac Lennan has joined Genie Europe’s aftermarket division from Easi UpLifts.

Mac Lennan has been with Dublin based Easi Uplifts/Height for Hire for many years responsible for the company’s used equipment business until early 2008 when he moved to Holland as new business development manager. He joins Genie as aftermarket sales manager – Northern Europe, reporting to Peter Whitall, director of aftermarket services for Europe, Africa and the Middle East.

Ronan Maclennan

Maclennan’s move to Holland was driven by the his partner who is Dutch, she was keen to return home and the couple decided therefore to move to Nieuwegein, just south of Utrecht.

As a valued member of the Easi Uplift team it was agreed that he would remain with the company and spearhead an expansion by the Irish based sales and rental company into continental Europe on a trial basis.

Market events and opportunities have led the company to centre its expansion much further east, acquiring Strojné Centrum Slovakia, (SCS) in Košice, Slovakia.
