Dutch dozen for Kobelco
Kobelco Cranes Europe Ltd has now secured orders within the past two weeks for 12 of it’s 250 tonne CKE2500’s. All 12 units have been sold to Dutch joint ventures that involve Hovago, the rental company owned and operated by Doron Livnat and the Baris family.
Sales for the first ten units were announced some two weeks ago and have been sold to P van Adrighem and Hovago for delivery into the European market. The units will be jointly owned by the two companies, the exact nature of the joint venture has not been revealed. Kobleco stated that the units will start to arrive in March.

Kobelco claims to have sold over 140 of its CKE2000/2500 200 and 250 tonne class crawler cranes since their launch. The CKE2500 can operate with up to 90 metres of boom. The product was designed specifically with the European market in mind with, says the company, additional safety features, fast set-up and dismantle times and easy transportation configurations. The company also says, however, that the units have proved a major success in China where the company claims to hold an 80 per cent market share in the crawler sector.
