Crawler crane tips in Idaho

A crawler crane went over yesterday on a bridge construction project on Highway 95 in Weiser, Idaho, USA. The crane was lifting a large bridge beam into place when either the support under one of its tracks gave way, or it managed to slip off the bridge? Either way it tipped over backwards.

The crane went over backwards

No one was injured in the accident on what is a new bridge over the Snake River between Weiser and Annex, Oregon. The bridge is roughly half complete and we due for go into service at the end of this year. A team is investigating precisely what happened.
