Hertz buys in Spain

Hertz Equipment Rental has acquired Rent One, a Spanish power generation company based in Cheste, Valencia that targets event and media companies on a national basis. Hertz says that Rent One will significantly boost energy division in Spain.

Rent One was founded in 2004 and specialises in servicing companies that support racing events, including the Formula 1 and Moto GP. The company reported revenues last year of $2.9 million, the purchase price has not been disclosed.

Juan Carlos Azcona Martinez, general manager of Hertz Equipment Spain, said: “Rent One has a solid reputation in the events industry and is a great fit with our current power generation rental operations in Spain. Rent One also supports the company’s strategy of diversifying its business and gives Hertz access to event customers needing power generation and climate equipment. Rent One will be merged into our energy division.”
