Hertz Equipment drops 32%

Hertz Equipment Rental has reported first quarter revenues of $279.5 million a fall of 32 percent compared to the same period last year.

Pre-tax profits at the equipment rental division were $700,000, 99 percent down on last year. The company attributes the fall to lower utilisation and rates only partially offset by cost reductions.
