Parkinson’s support

UK access specialist Working At Height has selected the Parkinson's Disease Society as its company charity.

The company has kicked off its programme with a £1,250 donation, but more importantly has launched a year of fund raising events for the charity and will promote the charity throughout the company starting with its website.

Some of the money raised will go towards the funding of a local Parkinson's nurse.

Ottie Whittle director of Working at Height said: “we have had some personal involvement with Parkinson's, so when choosing a charity for the business the decision was taken out of our hands through this experience and was made very easy, the management team then met with Hazel Taylor the corporate development officer for the society, who explained the many ways we can help now and in the future, from payroll giving to parties and events, we even have a potential marathon man who is eager to pound the streets of London for Parkinson's.”
