Second crane tip

Reports are coming in that a tower section was dropped during the assembly of a new crane at the site of a tower crane accident in Malta just two weeks ago.

The new crane was being erected at the site on Sacred Heart Avenue, Sliema, yesterday evening, when a sling broke dropping the section. No one was injured.

Officials of the Occupational Health and Safety Authority have returned to the scene to investigate. Click here to see report on original accident
