UpRight opens Middle East operation

UpRight has opened a new operation in the Middle East and appointed a new product support director.

UpRight Powered Access Middle East (UPAME) will provide a regional centre for spare parts, product support and training as well as maintaining strategic stocks of machines and parts, reducing customer lead times in the region.

The company says its new operation will improve service to distributors and customers in the Middle East, North Africa and the Indian sub-continent.

Heading up the UPAME operation is Mick Wright from its base in Bahrain

Mick Wright will head up the new operation from a base in Bahrain. He was previously director of product support.

"With the right investment, we can become the market leader in this region, which has really strong potential for future growth,” said Wright. “The initial objective is to further improve product support for our distributors in this region. Having a team in Bahrain overcomes the time zone difference between here and the UK and also the cultural difference in the working week. Longer term, we will ensure all the ingredients are in place for UpRight to become the leading brand.”

UpRight Powered Access Middle East will cover: Abu Dhabi, Algeria, Bahrain, Dubai, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, India, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Oman, Pakistan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Tunisia, Turkey and Yemen.
