TC2800 at work in Scotland

The 1,000 tonne Terex Demag TC2800 owned by Port Services of Scotland has finally gone to work in the UK.

The new crane was delivered at the end of last year since when it has been busy in Ireland lifting 300 tonne umbilical reels for an offshore oil company. As well as placing two motorway bridges and working in a refinery shut down in Cork.

Port Services TC2800 finally goes to work in its home market


The crane has finally gone to work in the UK, setting up in Invergordon on an oil rig upgrade project which gets underway this morning.

Up she goes


The crane has initially been rigged with a 48 metre main boom, 54 luffing jib and 160 tonnes of superstructure counterweight. A suspended counterweight of 100 tonnes will also be added for some of the lifts that the crane is due to carry out.
