Palfinger launches new PK40002-EH loader crane
Market-leading loader crane manufacturer Palifinger has launched another heavy-duty model in its high performance series – the PK40002-EH. The new model has many features including synthetic covers protecting the valves, slewing system and hoses from dirt and damage and a dual slewing system which reduces boom movement and improves precision particularly at full extension. Palfinger’s maintenance-free boom system – including KTL coatings – saves time and money and is environmentally friendly and the integrated oil tank means that there is no longer a need to install on the chassis saving space.

The Dual Power System (DPS) Plus allows the fly-jib to be operated with two pressure ranges through the use of a special, electronic overload protection system.
If the last extension boom on the crane is fully extended (normal operation), the lifting capacity of the crane is reduced to prevent overload. If the last extension boom on the crane is retracted (DPS Plus activated), the system automatically switches to high-pressure range and uses the maximum lifting capacity of the fly-jib. The second generation of the DPS system also allows lifting capacity to be increased a further 15 percent when the last extension boom is fully extended.
Palfinger says the loader crane is ‘perfect crane for a 3-axle chassis and is equally suited for assembly work, container transport, salvaging, and other heavy-duty tasks’.
