Aquatic booms

There has been some speculation lately over who had won the contract to supply the powered access for the Aquatic Centre. We can reveal that it is Hi-Reach Equipment, the Swindon based access rental company.

12 big booms are currently on site at London's Aquatic Centre

As the steel frame of the unusual wave shaped building goes up between 12 and 15 JLG 1250/Genie Z135 125/135ft boom lifts will be employed from the Hi-Lift fleet. There are currently a dozen big booms on site.

The building, which is due for completion in 2011, will house most of the Olympic swimming events.
