5,000 tonner launched

Seaway Heavy Lifting’s 5,000 tonne floating crane the Oleg Strashnov was successfully launched on Saturday at the IHC Krimpen Shipyard in the Netherlands. Delivery is scheduled for the first half of 2010.

There she goes - the Hull of the new crane is launched


The 183 metre long monohull ship will be fitted with a Gusto revolving crane built jointly by China Offshore Oil Engineering Corporation and Gusto MSC in Tang Gu, the port city of Tianjin, China. The 5,000 tonne crane has Class 3 dynamic positioning.
