Platformers Days opens today

Platformers Days will open its doors later today with fine weather promised, this year’s show is unusual in that several of the founding companies have stayed at home, including JLG, Genie and Haulotte, although Genie's aluminium product distributor Wienold will be flying the flag for the brand.

However the show probably has more new products and companies exhibiting than for many a year. And Skyjack will be showing its latest boom lifts and looking to capitalise on the absence of the other big four producers.

Also making its European debut is Korean manufacturer, JunJin (Junjincsm) on the Liftprofi stand. The German sales and service company, has taken on the distribution of the product line for Germany, Switzerland, Austria and Benelux and is showing two self propelled booms, the first two in Germany – possibly Europe.

Until this year the company, which has specialised in boom lifts for the shipbuilding industry, has exported just a handful of machines. The units on display include the 24 metre platform height straight telescopic T260 and the 13 metre platform height P150A 15m articulated boom.
