Major projects manager for AFI

UK based aerial lift rental company AFI, has appointed John Robertson as major projects manager, a new role within the company with both sales and operational responsibilities.

Robertson is currently overseeing the company’s operations on projects such as BVT Surface Fleet Support at HMNB Portsmouth and Terminals 5C and 2B at Heathrow Airport, while establishing AFI’s new Leyton depot close to the Olympic Park.

He also regularly liaises with AFI’s project team at Media City in Salford Quays, Manchester to ensure best practice and that any innovations are rolled out across all of AFI’s major projects.

Robertson joined AFI six years ago as an account manager at the London West depot and progressed through operations manager and regional operations manager roles in South Wales and the South of England.

He began his career 12 years ago at the sharp end of the powered access Industry– working as a truck mounted lift operator before moving into sales.
