Ranger pulls out of Dinolift distribution

Specialist access distributor Ranger Equipment has pulled out of its UK distribution agreement with Finnish manufacturer Dinolift.

Chesterfield-based Ranger says that the introduction of Dinolift’s first XTC crawler creates a conflict with its UK distribution activities for Teupen, the German tracked spiderlift manufacturer.

“Reluctantly, we have acknowledged that Dinolift’s launch into crawler-mounted platforms compromises us strategically and commercially in terms of our distribution of Teupen’s range of Leo tracked spiderlifts," said Ranger Equipment managing director, Steve Hadfield. "The Leos have been at the core of our business since we started in 2004. Dino’s diversification created a point of direct competition with Teupen which we could not have sustained. We will now concentrate our efforts on promoting the Teupen, Aichi and PB Liftechnik ranges of platforms.”

Ranger took on UK distribution of Dinolift’s product line just over a year ago.
