Alhambra Theatre's new Star
Bradford Theatres (UK) has purchased a mast boom for use in its city centre Alhambra Theatre. The Haulotte Star 10 will be used in the 1,400 seater theatre regarded as Northern England's premier touring venue hosting large-scale entertainment from ballet to opera and variety to comedy.
The theatre wanted to improve safety and is changing from using a tallescope stair platform for working at height. The theatre's electrics manager said: "The Star 10 was chosen because it is driveable at full height, carries two people and is around a tonne lighter than other machines we looked at so suitable for our stage floor. The first objective was to improve safety but the bonus has been that we save a significant amount of time compared to using the tallescope."

With a working height of 10 metres and an outreach of three metres, Haulotte’s Star 10 has proved ideal for the application.
