Higher Access adds CTE spiders

Higher Access, the Manchester-based tracked access specialist, have just taken delivery of five, CS135 13.5 metre and three CS170 17 metre tracked access platforms from CTE UK. The rental company has been operating both sizes of platform for the past 18 months and says it had reached a point where demand was outstripping supply.

“The recent additions to the fleet also include another Teupen Leo 23GT which underline our desire and commitment to become the UK’s largest multi brand specialist access platform rental company,” said Lucy Ashburner. “The Leo 23GT is a firm favourite with hirers due to the excellent performance and working envelope.”

Peter Ashburner (L) with Jonathan Wiseman of CTE UK and five CTE 135E spiders

The company, founded by Peter and Lucy Ashburner three years ago, continues to see revenue and utilisation rates exceeding expectations and is firmly on track to achieve continued growth through investment in plant and personnel.

“Our growth is consistent with any company prepared to deliver exciting innovative solutions to access issues through quality well maintained platforms and industry leading levels of service,” said Ashburner.

The new CTE additions acknowledges the strong demand from customers who are realising the benefits of tracked access platforms and are working at height below 18 metres.
Ashburner is already looking towards future platform purchases in order to meet an ever growing demand, she says “with the expansion of our sales department and the appointment of a full time sales manager we are well placed to understand what the market needs and what the market is asking for and purchase accordingly.”

The company has also announced that its new web site is now live and is already attracting an increased level of traffic along with enquiries. In support of its marketing strategy the company will shortly be launching a new hard copy brochure and technical guide ideal for use on site.
