TiVa for AFI

UK based aerial lift rental company AFI-Uplift, has gained TiVA accreditation, enabling it to become a powered access and training supplier to a number of companies within the Balfour Beatty group...

The companies currently requiring suppliers to be TiVA accredited are Balfour Beatty Infrastructure Services, Balfour Beatty Plant and Fleet Services, Balfour Beatty Ground Engineering Services, Balfour Kilpatrick, Balfour Beatty Engineering Services, Balfour Beatty Major Civil Engineering, and Balfour Beatty Workplace.

Run by Exor Management Services, the TiVA scheme enables purchasers of equipment and services to control and manage their supplier bases, while verifying and prequalifying suppliers.

Suppliers who go through the accreditation process are subjected to a robust programme of checking, testing and monitoring, followed by independent validation of the information supplied to deliver a “fit to supply” contractor.

AFI director Austin Baker said: “Gaining this accreditation enables AFI to prove to our customers that we have quality processes and systems in place that follow every aspect of supply. Anyone can take an order and deliver a product. What we are doing is confirming that every aspect of the order from enquiry through to delivery, service and even to receipt of payment follows rigidly regulated procedures.”

“Our customers can rest assured that even if they don’t subscribe to the many accreditation schemes that we have now passed they will also get the full benefit of the process,” he added.

In addition to the TiVA scheme, AFI has also been successfully reassessed for ‘BuildingConfidence’ accreditation and has gained Safe Contractor accreditation, operated by Achilles Information.
