Platform Sales expands
Leighton Buzzard, UK, based Platform Sales has expanded its service department to cover an increase in customer repairs and service work.
The access equipment sales specialist has doubled its workshop capacity in response to demand for the repair of larger machines.
Managing director Chris Caney says that with fewer companies purchasing new equipment, more of them are refurbishing their older machines, including a fair few large booms. In order to benefit from the extra potential and satisfy customers demand Platform Sales needed the extra space.

“The company has been busy refurbishing and rebuilding customer’s machines for the last five years, with most of the work being carried out on the smaller range of scissor and boom lifts.”
“The expansion has already paid off and has resulted in recent repair and refurbishment work being carried out on both Genie Z135-70 and Z80-60 booms together with GS5390 scissor lifts, while JLG and Niftylift platforms have also been rebuilt and refurbished.”
