GGR opens in Scotland

GGR, the European master distributor for Unic, UK dealer for Galizia and glass handling specialist has opened a new location in Glasgow.

The 560 square metre/ 6,000 sqft premises are located in Blantyre, Glasgow, just two miles off the M74 and convenient for central Scotland. The industrial unit houses offices, storage and a workshop as well as a state-of-the-art training facility.

GGR's new premises near Glasgow

GGR claims that It is the only facility in Scotland offering the complete range of lifting solutions for anyone requiring this kind of equipment, from glaziers to those working offshore.

The Glasgow location will represent the four of the brands which make up The GGR Group - GGR Glass, GGR UNIC, GGR Galizia and GGR AirLift.

Thomas Rae, regional manager for the Glasgow branch, said: “I’m looking forward to pushing the GGR Group further north and extending our client base. It’s an area ripe with potential for GGR’s huge array of services.”

Rae has twenty years experience in the engineering industry and most recently worked as an agent for UNIC.

Graeme Riley, chief executive of GGR added: “The success of our Oldham and Long Crendon offices meant that moving into Scotland was inevitable. Scotland is an important marketplace for GGR and we’re excited to see just what we can achieve through this new depot.”
