JCB takes an Encore
JCB has launched a new refurbishment programme for its North American customers and dealers.
The company, which is following Manitowoc in naming its rebuild service ‘Encore’, is targeting the rebuild service at its core products such as telehandlers and loader backhoes with up to 5,000 hours on the clock.
The service will replace all wear components that are more than 50 percent worn. Machines that have been thoroughly ‘Encored’ will also receive a 90 day warranty on most, if not all of the work.
Encore refurbishments or rebuilds are likely to average between $2,000 and $5,000 although depending on the condition of the machine it could be considerably higher.
The programme is aimed at customers who are unable to afford or justify a new machine, as well as providing its dealers with, what is essentially a new product, or profit opportunity.
